Directed by Panahbarkhoda Rezaee, the documentary narrates the story of an impoverished middle-aged couple, Maryam and Mohammad, who live in isolation in an Iranian rural region.
After losing both her forearms and one foot in a train accident, Maryam went against her parents’ will and eloped with her blind suitor.
Since then, they’ve happily cared for each other, with Maryam acting as her husband’s eyes and Mohammad acting as his wife’s arms.
The documentary received an Honorable Mention award at the 2020 Hot Docs, Canada’s prominent international documentary festival.
